"Is buaine port na glor na n-ean
Is buaine focal na toice an tsoil."

"A Tune is more precious than the song of birds
And a tale more precious than the wealth of the world."

~Chris Carney-Guitar, Vocals, Fiddle~Roxanne Oliva-Accordion, Harp, Krum Horn, Vocals~Janette Duncan-Fiddles, Bodhran~

With the great resurgance of Celtic music these days, Chris, Roxanne and Janette decided to pool their vast experiences and resources so they could bring to the audience a type of Celtic music not often heard out here in the west. This music comes from Northern Ontario, Eastern Canada and the Maritime Provinces and beyond. The folk songs and fiddle tunes of this region are as rich in story and tradition as the Irish, Scottish and English, from which they came and give us an idea of how ancient songs evolve and change over the years and miles. Add a French Bouree, a Swedish walking tune, a Cajun or American fiddle tune, a Polish polka, or a Macedonian folk tune and you have the music of DOCKSIDE.
